PP resin targets barrier PET applications
8 April 2008 - Canadian company Container Corp is using an experimental high melt flow and high clarity PP resin from LyondellBasell in commercial production of its Enviroclear Barrier System range of hot fill jars and bottles. The container manufacturer and resin producer have worked together to develop the new resin – Pro-Fax X11540-81-3, which is claimed to provide PET-like levels of clarity in the bottle without the use of peroxide melt flow enhancement.
